Holdspace

Terms of use

Last updated October 9, 2026

In short: try Holdspace free for 7 days, then keep the free Basic version or buy a license once. A license is for one person, on their own devices. Please don’t share or resell your key.

Who we are

Holdspace is made by Ruth Unaegbu Counselling & Coaching (“we”, “us”). By using Holdspace you agree to these terms. Contact us at hello@holdspacetimer.com.

Free trial and Basic

Every feature is free to use for 7 days from the first time you set up a timer. After that, Holdspace keeps working as Holdspace Basic, free of charge: duration timers, share links, sounds, time zones and fullscreen. We may change what Basic includes in future versions.

Anyone you share a timer with can view it without buying anything.

Your license

When you buy Holdspace, you get a license for one person to use the full version of Holdspace on their own devices, up to the number of devices your license key allows. You can move your key to a new device by removing it from an old one in Settings.

You may use Holdspace in your paid work, for example to run sessions, trainings and workshops. Each person who sets up and runs timers needs their own license.

Please don’t share your license key, resell it, or publish it. Don’t copy, modify, resell or redistribute Holdspace itself, or try to get around the license check.

Payment

Holdspace is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles any sales tax or VAT. Lemon Squeezy’s own terms also apply to your purchase.

Refunds

You can try every feature free for 7 days before you buy, so all sales are final, except where a refund is required by law or under Lemon Squeezy’s policies. If something isn’t working for you, email us and we’ll do our best to fix it.

Updates

Updates we release for Holdspace are included at no extra cost. We may add, change or remove features over time, and we can’t promise that any particular feature will always be available.

Using Holdspace well

Holdspace is a timer. It isn’t a clinical, medical or emergency tool, and it doesn’t record or store your sessions. You’re responsible for how you use it in your work, including what you put into share links. Please check the time zones and settings before an important session.

Availability

We work to keep Holdspace running smoothly, but it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will be free of errors or always available, for example during internet outages or browser changes.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Holdspace, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited.

Ending your use

You can stop using Holdspace at any time. If you break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling your license key, we may deactivate that key.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Changes don’t take away the license you’ve already bought.
